Stud History

Wyuna stud was founded in 1955 with females from Cudgeena Stud at Howlong. Hereford females were added from South Boorook, Ohio, The Camp, Indigo and Tarcombe studs. The cattle are run under commercial conditions and bulls are selected for temperament, muscling, structure,
and EBVs. An AI program to introduce new blood lines has been started
in recent years; we are a Breedplan member and sell 2 year-old bulls to commercial breeders, along with a selection of PTIC heifers each year, coinciding with the Beef Week Field Days. The rest get fattened and sold
on the domestic market.
